The Onlife Manifesto forms the basis for the Philosophical portion of the class.\u00a0 Don’t fret over the length of the book, 270+ pages.\u00a0 The manifesto itself is only 10 pages long, of which I recommend reading at least 3 times. It presents an interesting set of thought-provoking\u00a0issues that arise from our “always on” culture.\u00a0 The remaining 260 pages are commentaries by noted philosophers describing in their own words various aspects of the writing. The manifesto is dense and is written at a high, philosophical level, but we’ll discuss some of the more esoteric sections of the reading in class.\u00a0 I believe after class discussions we will be much better positioned to both understand the writing, and more importantly, offer our own commentary on positions taken in the paper.<\/p>\n\"twitter\"<\/a>\"reddit\"<\/a>\"linkedin\"<\/a>\"mail\"<\/a>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
