Major duties and responsibilities: Administering educational programs focusing on innovative writing instruction, managing the national and local sponsored budgets, and directing members of the Tidewater Writing Project Leadership Team and Teacher Consultants.

• Applied and secured annual funding from the National Writing Project
• Led the leadership team members and teacher consultants in designing, marketing, executing, and evaluating on-going professional development programs.
• Collaborated with six public school systems to provide on-going teacher training on writing instruction.
• Launched Kids’ summer camp for writing in summer 2014 and increased the enrollment in summer 2016.
• Each semester, I planned, organized, and led an open institute. TWP provides teacher workshops on writing instruction to K-12 teachers for 10 hours from 2013 to Present
• Hosted annual TWP Pre-Institute for K-12 Teachers.

• Directed the graduate elementary education programs and worked with students seeking IDS 5th Year Initial Licensure with Master’s degree, licensure only, and Master’s degree;
• Presented PK-6 program overview to reviewers of the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE);

Duties and Responsibilities: Reviewed and revised evaluation standards for ensuring the health, nutrition, education, and psycho social development of children during their early years in the global community. We urge that educators of the global community:

(1) Assess the extent to which the global community has carried out previously made commitments to support the education and development of young children.

(2) Develop and implement a range of policies to advance the provision of an interrelated and flexible continuum of early childhood services.

(3) Allocate resources from national governments, development agencies, governmental and non-governmental organizations, and private and voluntary groups to provide quality services.

(4) Collaborate reciprocally across nations to advance the interests of young children and families.
