{"id":171,"date":"2019-06-07T02:13:15","date_gmt":"2019-06-07T02:13:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fs.wp.odu.edu\/mjimenez\/?page_id=171"},"modified":"2023-05-10T00:26:32","modified_gmt":"2023-05-10T00:26:32","slug":"tutoring-coordination","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/fs.wp.odu.edu\/mjimenez\/learning-center\/tutoring-coordination\/","title":{"rendered":"Tutoring Coordination"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-layout-1 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<p>Continuing to collaborate with the Tutoring Partners Task Force, we work to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>promote increased communication among tutoring service partners regarding best practices, challenges, and innovative solutions related to tutoring undergraduate students at ODU.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>coordinate marketing efforts for print and digital\/web materials promoting tutoring services at ODU.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>strategize to develop support measures for student populations with unique needs, such as online learners, higher education center students, athletes, and students registered with the Office of Educational Accessibility Advocate for resources based on student needs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>develop common elements in how ODU tutoring data is collected and evaluated, and make use of assessment data to inform best practices related to tutoring.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>cultivate best practices related to recruitment, selection, training, supervision, and evaluation of tutors.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:33.33%\">\n<p class=\"has-text-color\" style=\"color:#6595bf\"><strong>Highlights from 2022-2023<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Continued 24\/7 support for 60+ course with Tutor.com<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Initiated plans for <strong>Embedded Tutoring<\/strong> program for ACCT and HIST courses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In collaboration with the Academic Initiatives team, began drafting <strong>Tutor &#8211;
