About

I am an Assistant Professor of American Literature and Digital Humanities at Old Dominion University. My work address questions about material life, changing ideas about poetry’s role in society, and what constitutes data in the field of the humanities. Before coming to ODU I was Visiting Assistant Professor at New College of Florida. I have also held a Marion L. Brittain Postdoctoral Fellowship in Digital Pedagogy at the Georgia Institute of Technology.  I am a member of the Minimal Computing Working Group which is a critical movement toward low-cost, social justice-oriented humanities computing projects.
