In Summer 2018, I joined an ODU team as we participated in the <\/span>2018 Ins<\/span><\/a><\/a>titute on High-Impact Practices and StudentSuccess. Our goal was to design a long-term plan for restructuring the Center for High Impact Practices so that it might truly achieve its mission, which is described as: <\/span><\/p>\n

The Center for High Impact Practices (CHIP) supports academic success in the classroom and beyond through student-centered programs, resources, and high-impact educational activities.<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Collaborate with campus and educational partners to identify student learning needs<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Foster successful student learning experiences<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Support faculty as they implement High Impact Practices<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Provide expertise and services in a professional manner<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
