First & Second Language Acquisition

In the course, First and Second Language acquisition, we studied how language is learned both at the initial level of infants learning language from their surroundings to deliberate studying of languages. There is evidence of a foundation of language knowledge from that beginning absorption of language as a baby, but there is still much unknown in how language works. That’s what makes it so interesting to study!
I’ve included the final paper and presentation from this course on second language L2 writing, as well as our reading response papers, which synthesized all of the articles and textbook readings. My final project focused on written corrective feedback, but as so often is the case, the more I researched and read about it, the less I felt I knew.
