Teaching College Composition

In Teaching College Composition, we explored the fundamentals and theories of composition pedagogy. There was an emphasis on students’ right to their own language, rather than a focus on grammatical correctness in student writing.

The syllabus assignment embedded below was really difficult, as I did not have any experience teaching college-level composition courses at that time. The syllabus includes a pedagogical rationale for the overall course design, as well as individual assignments.
