Dr. Xixi Wang, P.E., Associate Professor at Old Dominion University. His research interest is water-soil-vegetation interactions in changing climate. Dr. Wang is the director, and responsible for all aspects, of this NSF-IRES project.

Dr. Ruizhong Gao, Associate Professor at Inner Mongolia Agricultural University. His research interest is groundwater and its influences on steppe ecosystem. Dr. Gao is a Chinese mentor and plays a major role in mentoring the students.

Dr. Fengling Li, Associate Professor at Inner Mongolia Agricultural University. Her research interest is hydrology and its influences on steppe ecosystem. Dr. Li is a Chinese mentor and plays a major role in mentoring the students.

Dr. Yanyun Luo, Associate Professor at Inner Mongolia Agricultural University. Her research interest is remote sensing analysis and modeling of steppe ecosystem. Dr. Luo is a Chinese mentor and plays a major role in mentoring the students.

Dr. Ruihong Yu, Associate Professor at Inner Mongolia University. Her research interest is carbon cycle and sequestration in steppe ecosystem. Dr. Yu is a Chinese mentor and plays a major role in mentoring the students.
