During ODU’s Center for Learning and Teaching’s (CLT) Faculty Summer Institute, I designed a presentation for our High Impact Practice (HIP) Council.

The Institute was described as: “This annual two-day event brings scholars together to explore ways to enhance the learning experience. This year’s theme is Open Educational Resources (OER): Leveraging Resources for Affordable Course Content. Keynote speaker is Dr. David Wiley, Chief Academic Officer of Lumen Learning and Education Fellow at Creative Commons.”

Our presentation shared information regarding HIPs, their value and purpose, as well describing the various HIPs that currently exist at ODU. Following our presentation, each of the HIP partners facilitated breakout tables for discussing their particular HIP in greater detail with interested parties.
