2018 Institute on High-Impact Practices and Student Success

In Summer 2018, I joined an ODU team as we participated in the 2018 Institute on High-Impact Practices and StudentSuccess. Our goal was to design a long-term plan for restructuring the Center for High Impact Practices so that it might truly achieve its mission, which is described as:

The Center for High Impact Practices (CHIP) supports academic success in the classroom and beyond through student-centered programs, resources, and high-impact educational activities.

  1. Collaborate with campus and educational partners to identify student learning needs
  2. Foster successful student learning experiences
  3. Support faculty as they implement High Impact Practices
  4. Provide expertise and services in a professional manner
